Video: Introduction To Zody Zody Task Chair Features Zody's PAL Back System Zody's designers spent two years working with researchers at the The Human Performance Institute of Western Michigan University to determine a science-backed ergonomic design. What they came up with? Zody's PAL back system. The mechanism has controls on the right and left edges of the seatback, allowing users to adjust both sides individually for maximum support and comfort. PAL is designed to promote natural posture and positions while still allowing the users some flexibility to adjust their weight and recline. Waterfall Seat Edge The Zody Chair has a waterfall-style seat edge that takes some of the pressure off the sitter's legs. It's designed to be comfortable for any body type, allowing for even weight distribution and removing common pressure points. Flexible, Breathable Back Rest The Zody back rest is made of a breathable proprietary suspension mesh that allows air to flow from back to front while working seamlessly with the chair's lumbar support system. The back rest has 2 inches of flex that allows sitters to move and shift naturally without sacrificing support. Environmentally Sound Design One of the most innovative aspects of Zody's design is its sustainability. The chair is made from 51-percent recycled material and is up to 98-percent recyclable at the end of its life. It's GREENGuard certified and was given the highest sustainability rating possible by the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association. Full Customizability Zody is completely customizable with dozens of color options for the mesh and seat as well as three different base styles. You can also select your preferred options for the model, lumbar mechanism, casters and head rest. 4-D Arms (Optional) Designers developed fully adjustable armrests for the Zody Chair to ensure the vast majority of users have a natural and ergonomic place to relax their upper bodies. The arms are adjustable in height, width, position and pivot, which means anyone can find a comfortable position. About Haworth Haworth, which was originally called Modern Products, was opened in 1948 by a school teacher named Gerrard Wendell. Wendell, with the help of a loan from his parents, developed a woodworking business and began to craft products in his garage. Several years later, Wendell landed a huge project: an office partition system for the headquarters of the United Auto Workers in Detroit. After developing an innovative wall partition system, the business changed gears - it specialized in wall partitions and moveable walls. It wasn't until 20 years later that the company changed once again. In 1976, Dick Haworth took over and changed the business from Modern Partitions to Haworth, Inc. The rest, as they say, is history - the company saw incredible growth and expanded into developing office furniture and other innovative products. Video: How to Adjust Your Zody Chair SZ 583
